I have spent a long time trying out other apps, figuring out my pdf article/citation workflow. I have used Mendeley on desktop (used to have Mac, now have PC) and iPad for 6 years. I use PDF Reader to actually read the PDFs, and I already ditched the Mendeley iPad app (but I leave it installed on my iPad), it feels better to leave it now than to wait till March. In the end, I use Mendeley on Safari to manage my references, itвЂ™s clunky but itвЂ™s the best solution I can think of. So finally I refunded the app.ДЄ commenter suggested I reach MendeleyвЂ™s support email to hopefully reverse their decision to ditch their mobile app, I did, but all I get is a reply back saying that Mendeley Mobile is going away on March 15, so no luck.ДЄnother commenter posted a link to a petition for Mendeley to keep its mobile app, I signed it, and hoped for the best, but I doubt it will do any real change tbh. Their email support is nonexistent, their website is not available anymore, their twitter is last updated in 2016. When I deleted some journals in Mendeley they would still appear in Papership, but when I try to manually delete them from Papership I get an error popup.

UPDATE 2: It finally happened, started having syncing issues with Papership, sometimes journals would duplicate themselves to 3 or 4 and only 1 of them would contain the actual PDF. Hoping that the app wonвЂ™t have any big issues down the line.ДЄnd thanks for the recommendations and help guys So after a few days of using Papership I went ahead and bought the premium version, I just canвЂ™t live without highlighting. I canвЂ™t afford Endnote, and Zotero doesnвЂ™t have an iPad app. UPDATE: Papership is the best alternative that I could find, but I saw that the last update for the app was 1 year ago, that made me hesitate to pay for the premium version to unlock annotation (highlighting and stuff). IвЂ™m writing my masterвЂ™s thesis and any help would be appreciated. IвЂ™m looking for an alternative to Mendeley because using the desktop app is not an option (my iPad is my main device).

Offline reading is available for Mendeley Reference Manager web, more information can be found here.As the title suggests Mendeley mobile is going away on March 15th, or so the notification says on my iPad.

Users can then access their library on Mendeley Reference Manager web or desktop application. In order to continue the use of their Mendeley library, app users are advised to sync their library to the cloud in advance of 15 March, 2021. This information will help us to plan future development. If you are a regular user of the Mendeley mobile app we would be grateful if you could let us know what you used the app for by completing this survey.

Users of the mobile app were informed on 10 February that the app would be withdrawn from the App Store and Google Play on 15 March and that they would no longer be able to sign in to the app. Sometimes this means withdrawing lesser used products from service to allow us to focus on those products that are used by more of the Mendeley Community. At Mendeley, we aim to help researchers work even more efficiently so they can spend their time making discoveries.
